I specialise, and work particularly well with executives, and continue to have a firm belief that everyone has unfathomed potential that just needs the right material, the right moment and the right help to unleash. An often used quotation is: “The greatest waste in the world is the difference between what we are and what we could become”.
Part of the coaching on offer is for career development, preparation for interviews, and in-depth career / life evaluation.
Whilst my focus has always been on business, I have also completed work in the public and charity sectors, and held voluntary roles as Chair, Trustee, Treasurer, Secretary in not-for-profit organisations.
I formally came to coaching about 20 years ago, when if I mentioned the word it was assumed I could help with a golf or tennis game!
I have more recently completed a number of Coaching Academy Diploma programmes to keep up to date, have been a member of The Association for Coaching for some years, and trained as an NLP Master Practitioner too. I am an Insights Discovery Licensed Practitioner, Distributor, UK Mentor and became the 1st person in the world accredited in the profound Insights Deeper Discovery® methodology - utilising the power of personality psychology to develop high performing people and teams. I am also able to use the DISC profiling portfolio.
My coaching has been assessed and approved by the CPD Standards Office, so I can provide CPD Certificates, should you require them, for professional qualification CPD evidence.
At the other end of the spectrum I am an alumnus of two top international business schools, gaining my MBA at Henley. A Chartered Manager, Certified Management Consultant, Accountant and hold a range of other qualifications to support my work. My extensive experience is underpinned by significant on-going research, education and down to earth practical delivery.
I was privileged to become IoD Director of the Year finalist 2 years running, and recently gained the prestigious Financial Times Non Executive Director Diploma.
Over the past few of years I have developed and piloted an intensive Business Consultancy Programme. I now teach The Confident Consultant® programme to other people who wish to add consultancy, in the SME sector, to their bow. It is also a brilliant programme for anyone who is moving from a permanent role and wishes to become freelance. It blends beautifully with coaching and I have been using the Programme with my own clients with outstanding results.
I believe it is vital to make sure that there is good 'chemistry' between a coach and their client - for this reason, the approach for each client will be different.
It is only once we have made sure that we can work together - and that I can help you make lasting positive change - that we discuss fee rates and how we will work.
Extensive experience has shown me that one approach does not fit all, and I flex my way of working to suit each client's need.

My Coaching Styles
Most of my clients tend to work at senior and director / partner level from the business, public or charity sector, often with a professional background. I have worked with people in the public sector at senior / director level wishing to develop a more 'business based' approach.
Increasingly, I have been in demand to help people who have been climbing the wrong career ladder. Or, have reached a stage in a successful career, or phase of life, when they are wondering....what next?
With the growing knowledge about executive coaching, the bias has also been for successful people who wish to really expand their skill set - realising they have areas for development that are stifling their potential, and where a highly bespoke approach is exactly what they have been looking for.
My approach is to make the complex simple and always focus on ensuring clients can take action straight away.
