I am a qualified and experienced executive coach, team development consultant and therapist. I work UK wide via Skype and telephone and face to face from Brighton and London.
I have worked with individuals and teams across Sales and Marketing, Advertising and Communications, Customer Services, Financial Services, Not for Profit and Higher Education environments. I help leaders and business owners translate strategy and strategic plans into operational outcomes that are practical, effective and meet the vision and values of their organisation. I have in depth experience of encouraging change, both at a personal and organisational level. I facilitate team development and integration after change and support executive development, including leadership potential, through personal mentoring and coaching.
I started my career as many people do: working my way up through the ranks and learning the business and leadership skills I needed for the next level as I went. The first section of my career was spent in global advertising and marketing businesses and HR consulting. Here, I focussed on building and leading international teams in high-pressured, fast paced environments delivering complex consultancy products in to clients such as IBM (in over 42 countries), BP, RBS, Royal and Sun Alliance, Fidelity International, Pfizer, Marie Curie Cancer Care, The British Library, the Department of Health, the Department of Work and Pensions and many more.
My exposure to all of these organisations and their differences for me highlighted some of the things that successful individuals and teams operating within them shared. These were focussed around their taking a holistic approach to their work and seeing how the way they related to stakeholders, colleagues and managers drove their success. Effective business relationships interconnect with and drive company goals and strategies, and the ability to create relationships built on trust, honesty and transparency is essential to individuals and teams achieving their aims.
Having cut my teeth and developed my individual approach to leadership and business I became fascinated by building upon this view of what set successful leaders and organisations apart. Following this up, I retrained as a therapist, coach and OD consultant and began to focus my career towards looking at how culture, leadership and team dynamics interface to drive business success. This led to key involvement in global culture change programmes in Financial Services and Not for Profit environments, in addition to multiple team based interventions aimed at building higher performance.
