My Coaching Styles
As a coach I see it as my responsibility to provide an environment that is confidential, supportive and non-judgemental, where you feel relaxed & able to explore the issues / challenges you would like to discuss. I describe my coaching style as being 'person centred' - what this essentially means is that I approach coaching believing that you are in control of the coaching agenda, that you are best placed to identify key issues which are effecting the changes you would like to make & that you have the capacity to change / grow, identifying the key steps you need to take to achieve your outcomes. As your coach my job is to question to clarify to challenge, to make you think, but most of all to support you in the coaching process - so while I may make suggestions, I believe that coaching is basically 'non-directive' in nature & so I would not 'instruct' or 'teach', but use a range of techniques to help you achieve your coaching goals.
